The purpose of this site is publicize the fact that Hardester's owners contributed money in support of Proposition Eight, also known to some people as Prop Hate. Prop Eight prohibited same-sex couples from getting marriage licenses, which, in the opinion of the owner of this website, thereby legalized discrimination against citizens of California based on sexual orientation. This Site does not Advocate a Boycott of Hardester's Markets
A boycott would hurt workers of Hardesters. This site exists to inform people of the Hardesters' political activities in the hope that friends, neighbors, workers, customers, and suppliers might help them realize that there is no room for bigotry in our community, and that all citizens of California deserve to be endowed with the same inalienable human rights that the Hardester family enjoys.
